Reports on the issues of the political debate between parties show that there has been a change on the issues discussed in Spain in the last decade, a change brought about partially by the entrance of new political parties in the scenario such as Podemos, Ciudadanos and VOX. According to issue public theories, these changes in the issues discussed should have altered the alliances created and the profiles feeling called to participate in elections. Using panel data to observe the behaviour of similar individuals along the years, this paper tests the extent to which the appearance of Podemos and Ciudadanos, first, and VOX, later, has shaped the voters that were mobilised to the polls and the issues that drove such behaviour.
