Standing Group on Law & Politics of the ECPR is offering the section Courts and Judicial Politics (Sylvain Brouard/Christoph Hönnige) with four panels at the next ECPR General Conference in Reykjavik from August 25th to 27th, 2011.
The panels are:
463 - Courts and the policy process (Christine Rothmayr Allison)
20 - Courts in democratic systems (Carlo Guarnieri)
23 - Courts under non-democratic systems, democratization and democratic
break-down (Elena Barahona/Sebastian Linares)
360 - Data and Methods in Comparative Judicial Politics (Thomas Gschwend)

We would like to invite and encourage you to submit paper proposals to the 4 panels. The deadline for proposals is February 1st, 2011.
The papers have to be submitted via the ECPR online system which you can access via the conference homepage or the following link where you can create an account: https://www.ecprnet.eu/myecpr/login.asp. You can create an account even if your institution is not an ECPR member.
The conference will also be used to kick-start the new standing group in a first meeting.
