GESIS workshop week on "Behavioral Genetics in Social Science Research". October 8-12, 2018 at GESIS Cologne, Germany

The purpose of this workshop week is to familiarize social scientists with genetic data and provide instruction on how to incorporate genetic information into social science analyses. Next to short general introductions into the topic of genetics in the social sciences, all workshops offer hands-on training for researchers working at the intersection of genetics and social science research.

Workshop 1 (Oct 8): The TwinLife study and behavioral genetic modeling

All three workshops can be booked and attended separately, we recommend interested researchers to participate in the whole workshop week.

Selected participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss their own research ideas or projects in the form of a poster presentation with the lecturers and participants of the workshop in the evening of October 8, 2018.

Participants interested in a poster presentation are asked to apply by submitting a short outline (about 0.5 pages) of their research idea or research project until August 20, 2018. Click here to submit your application.

Call for Interest Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Felloship @ ICS-ULisboa

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. Individual Fellowships (H2020-MSCA-IF-2018) programme, the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon (ICS-ULisboa), Portugal, is now accepting applications from researchers in the areas of social and cultural anthropology, political science, economics, human geography, history, social psychology and sociology.

ICS-ULisboa an international, interdisciplinary academic research centre gathering researchers from different areas of the social sciences. The Institute, which was evaluated in 2014 as ‘Institution of Excellence’ by international ESF panels, offers excellent working conditions, financial support for research, and international networks.
