Second Annual IPSA-NUS Summer School for Social Science Research Methods
IPSA and the National University of Singapore’s Department of Political Science are proud to present the 2nd Annual IPSA-NUS Summer School for Social Science Research Methods, which runs from July 8 to 19, 2013.

São Paulo IPSA Summer School - Another Great Success!
Building on the success of the first three editions of the IPSA Summer School, which was first presented at the University of São Paulo in 2010, the Fourth Annual IPSA Summer School was held from January 21 to February 8 at the University of São Paulo.

What’s New on the IPSAPortal?
News from the IPSAPortal:
1) Springer presents its latest major initiative. About 100,000 high-quality books dating back to the 1840s are now available through the new Springer Book Archive. Via SpringerLink, it is possible to access books (many of them previously unavailable in electronic format) as well as the MyCopy print-on-demand service, available for almost the entire English-language collection. 2) EdX broadens its horizons. The X University Consortium founded by Harvard University and the Massachussets Institute of Technology has doubled its institutional membership with the addition of six new schools. The 25 courses currently available on the platform reflect the disciplinary approach embodied by the project, in keeping with the wishes of the founding institutions. (e-Learning on the IPSAPortal)
3) The online activities of major international protest movements (Indignados, Occupy Wall Street, etc.) are summarized by the Oxford Internet Institute (OII). An entire section of the site features maps depicting the distribution of the main social platforms, user-generated contents, Internet penetration, academic knowledge and publishers, and more. 4) The second issue of 2013 West European Politics is now available online. This special issue includes contributions on the party politics of territorial reforms in Europe. (Journals on the IPSAPortal)
IPSA Research Committee 50 will henceforth be called “The Politics of Language”
IPSA is pleased to announce that the Research Committee on Language and Politics (RC50) will now be called “The Politics of Language” (La politique des langues in French). The name change was proposed by the IPSA Executive Committee to better reflect the RC’s mission and objectives. The RC chair, vice chair and secretary proposed “The Politics of Language” to the RC executive board, which approved the new name.
