We are asking for empirical or theoretical papers that address public policies in Latin American during the last decade and their impact in the growth of middle classes. We are interested on introducing a discussion in comparative terms about different strategies that governments in the region have used and what is the viability of their social policies. Have they meant a structural change? Have they promoted the political clientelism? Are these policies sustainable over time?
