International Conference “EU-Asia Pacific dialogue: fostering synergies on global challenges”, April 22nd and 23rd, 2021 (Online event)

Call for papers


This international conference is an event organised within the Jean Monnet Network “European Union-Asia Pacific Dialogue: promoting European integration and mutual knowledge across continents” (EUNAP), an Erasmus+ project of the European Union (EU) coordinated by the University of Deusto (610740-EPP-1-2019-1-ES-EPPJMONETWORK). EUNAP provides an academic platform that aims to promote  multidisciplinary debate and joint research on EU-Asia Pacific relations. It includes a variety of research activities, events and publications aimed at the academic world, policy-makers and civil society. 


This international conference will take place online in two days. EUNAP coordinators in partner universities will be the keynote speakers on the first day. The second day will be addressed to PhD students and young doctoral researchers from EUNAP universities and/or outside the network. They will have the opportunity to deliver a paper presentation.

9:10-11:30 Paper presentations, individual or joint, by PhD students and young researchers from within and/or outside EUNAP universities. Papers should deal with any issue related to the Conference theme, from a multilateral or a bilateral approach (e.g. EU-South Korea).

 

Paper submission and publication

An abstract of 300 words in Word format (Times New Roman 12) should be submitted by 2nd April and sent to beatriz.perez@deusto.es and davidfrojo@deusto.es

A maximum of 12 proposals will be selected for presentation on April 23rd. Acceptance will be communicated by 12th April.

Presented and reviewed papers will be published in a special issue of Deusto Journal of European Studies (DJES) https://ced.revistas.deusto.es/ The deadline for delivering the full papers will be September 1st, 2021.

The papers should be maximum 8000 words in length, including references and footnotes, and they should meet the author guidelines of DJES.
