Agenda & Format
The summer school will take place in English and feature a mix of lectures and panel debates. Significatn time will be allocated in every session for participants to ask questions and engage in group discussion.

Participants
The summer school is primarily designed for leading development professionals and ICT policy experts from governments, multilaterals, think tanks, NGOs, foundations, companies, and universities interested in the role of creative innovation for development. It will be limited to a maximum of 30 participants.

Costs
The workshop fee is € 500 and includes the cost of lunches, coffee breaks, a reception, and workshop materials. All other costs are the responsibility of the participant, including travel and hotel. IBEI has organized a discounted group rate at a nearby hotel for participants requiring accommodation.

Grants
Supported by our sponsors, we are offering a small number of bursaries for participants, comprising a registration fee waiver. Requests for this assistance should be sent to the summer school organizers at summer@ibei.org with a brief statement of reasons for seeking support no later than 20 June 2014.

Certificate of Attendance
Successful participation in the School will be fully accredited with a certificate of attendance

Cancellation and Refund Policy
If a registered participant chooses to withdraw from the course, they should contact IBEI for informing us. Withdrawals are eligible for a partial refund in line with these criteria:

Before Wednesday 16 July 2014: 75% of tuition fees
From Thursday 17 July to  Monday 21 July 2014: 50% of tuition fees
After Tuesday 22 July 2014: No refund

Only due to exceptional circumstances such as illness or denial of visa, the refund could be 100% of the tuition fees.

In the unlikely event that the Summer School is cancelled, participants registered will be full refunded of their tuition fees. Registered participants will be informed as early as possible if the course is at risk of cancellation. In any case, IBEI is not able to refund the cost of flights, accommodation, visas or other items.
