The Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) is pleased to launch the fourth edition of the ECPR Summer School on Interest Groups that will take place at IBEI during July 3 - 10,  taught by experts of international prestige such as Laura Chaqués-Bonafont (Universitat de Barcelona-IBEI), Jan Beyers (University of Antwerp), Caelesta Braun (Vu University Amsterdam), Andreas Dür (University of Salzburg), Rainer Eising (University of Bochum), Heike Klüver (University of Konstanz), William Maloney (Newcastle University), Gemma Mateo (University of Salzburg), Lisa Miller (Rutgers University), Joaquim Molins (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), Anne Rasmussen (University of Leiden), and Anke Tresch (Université de Genève)  .

The 2013 ECPR Summer School on Interest Groups is aimed to provide graduate students firm knowledge about how interest organizations mobilize to foster policy change in a tremendously complex and multilayered political environment. In doing so, the course pays special attention on how major changes on the patterns of governance at the global, European, national and sub-national level have transformed mobilization and framing strategies of interest organizations across time, across policy subsystems, policy venues, and countries. To do that, the course combines high quality lectures and methodological sessions with internationally renowned scholars. It also provides the opportunity to students to present their own research and obtain constructive feedback from leading scholars in the field.
