Federalist Debate & Training Weekend 2015

14-15 March | MADRID

The Future of Europe: between Federalism and the Nation State

The Federalist Debate & Training Weekend is a yearly event for experienced and new activists and members of UEF and JEF who are interested in discussing federalism and current European political issues from a federalist perspective and to engage in a practical training on campaigning for a federal Europe.

This year the event will be hosted in Madrid and we will have the pleasure of welcoming the three former Spanish presidents of the European Parliament for a public event in the Office of the European Parliament in Madrid. Mr. Enrique Barón Crespo, Mr. José María Gil Robles and Mr. Josep Borrell Fontelles will discuss the “Challenges and Opportunities Towards a Federal Europe” as a roundtable discussion on the evening of Saturday 14 March.

Further panel discussions will explore options and visions for the future of the European Union while hands-on workshops aim to develop the practical skills to match the theoretical knowledge covered by the panel discussions.

Registration for full participation in this event has now closed, if you are interested in attending the round table debate on the 14th of March at the European Parliament

Information Office in Madrid please contact the UEF Secretariat.
