EU-China Research Centre

Dear colleagues,

You may know that the EU-China Research Centre was officially established on 1 April 2014 on the occasion of the visit of the Chinese President Xi to Bruges and with the generous funding of the InBev-Baillet Latour Fund. The Centre was set up as an integral part of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy Studies (IRD) at the College of Europe in Bruges. In the coming academic years, we would like to cooperate with both European and Chinese partners to organize international conferences and seminars on EU-China relations and to jointly publish the quarterly e-journal EU-China Observer based at the College, together with the InBev-Baillet Latour Chair of EU-China relations.

In order to carry out the missions of the Centre successfully, we would like to establish

• A wide network of professors and scholars who could provide expertise to us on our research and exchanges with the Chinese counterparts in a wide range of areas from European security, politics, economics, society, education, culture and etc;

• An editorial board for the EU-China Observer – the board members will be consulted to provide peer review and comments on papers in their field of expertise.

For all of you who are interested in joining us, please send me a short note. I look forward to working with you in the future.

Thank you very much in advance!

Best regards.
