The European University Institute is looking for candidates with a distinguished record of scholarly publications and experience in postgraduate teaching and doctoral supervision, to fill a Chair in Sociology (SPS4).

The Department of Political and Social Sciences invites applications for a Chair in Sociology. Candidates should have an interest in comparative research in sociology. Fields of interest may include political sociology, sociology of organisations, social networks and processes, and economic sociology.

The successful candidate will have a strong record of empirical research, an interest in theory and research methods and a commitment to excellence in postgraduate teaching. The chair will open to candidates at different levels of seniority.  The contract is for five years, renewable for a further three years.
