Call from Kurdistan Regional Government to Spanish academics regarding job opportunities as academics in Kurdistan
MADRID, 17 February 2014
Due to the need to raise the standards of higher education in the region there has been an upsurge in demand for foreign academics. The idea is to invite foreign academics who hold Masters and PhD degrees in order to work in Universities and Research Centers in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
Lecturers and Professors will be called upon to meet the demand of the universities, and successful candidates will be selected on a competitive basis.
Goals
- To transfer the knowledge of international academic expertise, enriching the academic process of Kurdish universities.
- To promote the internationalization of Kurdish universities and students.
- To lay the foundation for future academic ties between Kurdish and Spanish academic institutions.
2nd Call for Spanish lecturers is opened for the following institutions during the academic year 2014 – 2015:
- A. Kurdistan Institution for Strategic Studies and Scientific research: specialists - researchers and teachers in different areas.
- B. Sulaimani University: callsa number of professorsin different areas.
Note: All seats would not be covered, only teachers with experience and appropriate curriculum will be hired. The evaluation committee of each academic institution is the responsible of the selection process.
