Call for Proposals Extended to 12 November 2024

The Call for Proposals deadline for the 28th IPSA World Congress of Political Science in Seoul has been extended to 12 November 2024. Take advantage of this opportunity to submit your research on the theme Resisting Autocratization in Polarized Societies. We welcome paper and closed panel proposals on any topic within the field of political science.

Anyone can submit a proposal. While IPSA membership is not required for submission, it is mandatory for participation and registration for the IPSA World Congress. For more information, please visit the IPSA Individual membership page.

Paper Submission Guidelines and Rules

Paper proposals may be submitted to a track, or to an open panel within a track. Papers for closed panels must be submitted using the specific link provided in the invitation from a panel convenor.

Panel Submission Guidelines and Rules

Panel proposals may be submitted in up to two (2) tracks. To submit a closed panel proposal, you are responsible for recruiting four (4) to six (6) paper presenters, a chair, and a discussant.

All paper and panel proposals must be submitted online via the Congress website.

No emails, PDFs or Word documents will be accepted as submissions.

New! Language Options for Closed Panels 

As part of IPSA's commitment to promote greater inclusivity and enrich our academic discussions, we are pleased to introduce a new policy for the IPSA World Congress that allows participants in closed panels to present orally in other languages, provided that all panel members agree. The new policy provides opportunities for collaboration among scholars who share both research interests and a common language.
