Registration for the 2026 Research and Expertise Centre for Survey Methodology (RECSM) Summer Methods School at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona closes in less than two weeks. The RECSM Summer Methods School, will take place June 29 – July 17 at UPF Barcelona, with full online participation available throughout.

The school offers eleven intensive courses across three weeks, covering the full spectrum of quantitative social science methods, from foundational training to advanced modelling and causal inference. Courses can be taken individually or combined. All courses are taught in English.

 

Introductory Track - Weeks 1 & 2 (June 29 – July 10) For researchers building their quantitative foundations:

Survey Design and Comparative Research Track — Week 2 (July 6–10) For researchers working with surveys, experiments, or cross-national data:

• Designing Questionnaires in the Age of AI — Wiebke Weber (July 6–8)
• Survey Experiments — Jordi Muñoz (July 6–8)
• Comparative Survey Research and Data Harmonization — Marta Kołczyńska (July 8–10)

Advanced Modelling and Causal Inference Track — Weeks 1 & 3 (July 1–3 and July 13–17) For researchers at more advanced stages of their quantitative training:

• Multilevel Models for Comparative Longitudinal Survey Data — Alexander Schmidt-Catran (July 1–3)
• Structural Equation Modelling — Beth Grandfield (July 13–15)
• Causal Inference — Bruno Arpino (July 13–15)

La Escuela de Métodos de Verano del RECSM se celebrará del 29 de junio al 17 de julio en la UPF Barcelona, con participación en línea disponible en todas las sesiones.
